I read about half of the original book written in the 80's and had a difficult time moving past the verbiage. This edition is a relevant blend with some historical truths. I don't love everything in it, but there are great insights, especially for men growing up with a limited or without a father figure.

I am an avid reader, but this book cuts to the chase; it tells you in direct terms how to be a Christian man in the 21st century, applying Biblical concepts throughout.
